Jefferson Parish Domestic Violence Program

LCJC has partnered with the Jefferson Parish District Courthouse, Metropolitan Center for Women and Children and Southeast Louisiana Legal Services to expand the services offered at LCJC’s 24th Judicial District Court help desk.

The Louisiana Civil Justice Center (LCJC) is proud to announce a new initiative to provide victims of domestic violence the best possible services in Jefferson Parish. The LCJC has partnered with the Jefferson Parish District Courthouse, Metropolitan Center for Women and Children and Southeast Louisiana Legal Services to expand the services offered at LCJC’s 24th Judicial District Court help desk. Now, in addition to LCJC attorneys to help self-represented litigants, the help desk will also have a Southeast Louisiana Legal Services attorney and Metropolitan social workers on hand to help persons affected by domestic violence file protective orders, obtain safety planning and other social services, and get representation for protective order hearings. The LCJC is proud to be a part of helping Jefferson Parish citizens overcome domestic violence.
